Kanye is an interesting case study in how much punishment a person can get from society for saying socially unacceptable things

He’s clearly not afraid of being cancelled, like many of us would be if we said and did such brazen things publicly

The idea of not being able to get cancelled fascinates me

One thing I like about teaching English online is that I’m basically anonymous. My school(s) don’t know much about me, and I’m not obligated to disclose any of my extra-curricular activities to them

As far as my online school is concerned, I’m just a guy who appears on the screen to teach English, and then disappears into the darkness when class is over

And that’s how I like it.

No nosy coworkers who are snitching to the boss about what I may or may not have said or done the other day

It’s a nice layer or protection against getting cancelled. It doesn’t mean that I’m gonna go full-Kanye, but I’m definitely not afraid to speak my mind on the internet!
