Guys have a BIG misconception that I think English teaching should be the final step in your career ladder.

For me (and most other guys that I know) English teaching is a useful stepping stone to other life goals- starting a life abroad, paying off debt, starting your own business (either abroad or back in your home country)

It’s (probably) not your final destination, but a fast hack to get you overseas making money so that you can begin living the king lifestyle that you deserve

I have a former teaching coworker who recently pivoted into IT

Him and I spoke about this career transition, and he talked about some of the difficulties that may be faced in working IT

This isn’t to bash IT – I just want to give an example of someone that I know who was a teacher who transitioned from teaching
