In the 1980s, Kanye’s mom, Dr. Donda West, taught English at Nanjing University, in China

She brought Kanye along with her

I had a similar experience, living in Germany for 4 years as a kid (my mother was army, and was stationed there)

Moving to a foreign country at that young of an age can have a huge impact on a kid

It certainly can have a BIG positive impact on making the kid more creative….

And we all know creativity is one area where Kanye excels at

It wouldn’t surprise me if experiencing two vastly different cultures as a kid (Chinese culture, and the black American culture of growing up in southside Chicago) helped shape Kanye’s very, umm….. unique perspectives on life

And, now, it’s all come around full-circle, with Kanye coming back to China

And giving one of the biggest performances of his career

It’s amazing what can happen when you cross cultures, and do something different
