“Some guys teach vocab. Others teach with personality. Guess who gets hired faster?”
Hey
Let’s be honest—most people picture English teaching as you holding up a flashcard saying “Apple” while a kid yells “Banana.”
Not on my watch.
You don’t need to sound like an audiobook or follow cookie-cutter scripts to get hired.
What schools really want is someone who knows how to keep the class awake—and actually speaking.
So here’s how I teach English naturally, without sounding like a broken robot:
1. Real-World Conversations
Instead of fake textbook dialogs, I talk about food delivery, dating fails, or travel plans.
You’d be surprised how fast students open up when the topic actually matters to them.
2. Visuals + Humor Beat Drills
No one remembers “Repeat after me.”
But if you draw a stick figure on the board and turn it into a story, they lock in.
Add a bad joke? Now they’re laughing and learning.
3. Games That Feel Like Real Life
Instead of “fill in the blank,” I use activities like “Convince me not to fire you” or “You’re lost—ask me how to get home.”
Fun + functional = fluent.
If you want help building your first few fun, natural-sounding lessons, I’ve got you.
👉 Book an ESL Consultation and I’ll walk you through how to teach without ever saying “Repeat after me.”
Let’s get your first job—and actually enjoy the classes.
