The issue he brought up to me about working tech is the amount of time it takes to find a good remote job

He explained to me that you typically have to wait for a recruiter to send you worthwhile jobs….

…. because going out and looking for jobs on your own will probably result in a lower-paying job that WON’T allow you to work remotely

So you’re basically stuck in limbo in the meantime

This is the reason that I usually recommend guys get started in English teaching first (because it gives FAST results in getting you overseas making money), and THEN working on your career transition to something else

Most of the other methods I’ve seen (joining the military, getting certs and praying for a remote tech job, etc.) are MUCH more difficult and time-consuming….

….and, in the case of military, they can also limit your travel freedom

So ask yourself – “Do I want it hard, or fast?”
