Not wasting a moment, I quickly booked what I thought would be an ideal time to catch a flight and arrive in Indonesia

But, then, to my horror, less than an hour after I booked the flight, I realized that I had an online class during that time! 😱

In my rush to join my friends in a new country, I accidentally booked my flight time during the time when I’d be teaching….😖

I contacted the flight booking website to try to change or cancel the flight, but they didn’t offer the solutions that I was looking for

Basically I’d have to book a different flight, or somehow change my class time to not conflict with my flight

After some deliberation, the next morning I contacted my school to let them know that I wouldn’t be available to teach the day of my flight, and that they should probably find a substitute teacher for that day

My online school is very chill, and I’ve also had perfect attendance the entire year that I’ve worked with them, so it was no issue for them to find a sub teacher to handle the class while I’m away

And, after a successful flight, here I am in Bali, teaching with a beautiful outside view
